The Pied Wagtail

Pied Wagtails intrigue me.  They seem to have a death wish, neurotically wagging their long tail up and down and scampering across roads and car parks in search of food.

The local ones aren’t quite so crazy around cars (probably wary of spanish drivers) and mainly confine themselves to rocks within the river and the narrow banks.  They are difficult to photograph unless you like small black and white specks.  So I am pleased to have captured a quick shot of this one perched on a low branch, it just looked round at the right moment.
